What does your co~creation process look like?
a rich but simple process of co~creating here at Mahu Creative: Connect, collaborate and create. 
Mahu Creative is merely the vessel/vehicle for you to express through. You have the story Mahu has the tools to bring it into being.
To help us connect through visual design, we ask specific questions for you to share in your own words of what resonates with you & or your loved one.

Can i purchase a Taonga for myself?

Yes, we value empowerment for individuals, through our tikanga~process we initiate intentions that support safety, healing and community to therefore gift to oneself in an honorable way.

where do you source your materials from?

we ethically source all our natural materials here in Aotearoa and locally, Our Pounamu find us on our trips to Te Waipounamu, therefore in raw form and touched once by human form before produced specifically for the receiver, our wood either from old riverbed dams or recycled native, our tusks and feathers from family hunters and our whale bone from kaitiaki~guardians with the authority to let them become taonga.

What mediums do you create Taonga with?
Generally but not limited too, ethically sourced Wood, Bone, shell, Pounamu /New Zealand Greenstone.


How are our taonga’s priced? 
We discuss koha mai, koha atu / price by negotiation.


How far in advance do we need to begin the process of custom creation?
realistically I advise that you connect with me as soon as possible.
I believe that Taonga is created with trust & understanding. It is deeply personal.
I am able to take on a limited number of creative projects each year, it is essential to begin planning as soon as possible.

Are your Taonga/treasures blessed?
yes they are all blessed.
I am aware of the responsibilities that come with creating Taonga/treasures.
Holistic safety is paramount throughout the journey of creation with our clients.
